Father admits beating baby to death

BUFFALO, N.Y. (RELEASE) – Buffalo police have made an arrest in the beating death of an infant, at 84 Humason Street (upper).
“C” District officers responded to a rescue call involving a 9-month-old child on Monday, October 26th at around 7:15AM.
Investigating officers were told the baby boy was found unresponsive, by his parents.
The baby boy was pronounced dead on arrival at Erie County Medical Center.
A subsequent investigation was begun by homicide detectives, and an autopsy was performed on the child, Demari Miller, at the Erie County Morgue. “It was determined that the cause of death was the result of a severe beating, indicated by both external and internal injuries,” according to Dennis J. Richards, Chief of Detectives.
Deputy Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda added, “It’s the most disturbing autopsy report I’ve ever seen”
On October 28th, the father of the child was questioned at police headquarters, and confessed to homicide squad detectives Michael Acquino and Michael A. Mordino. The father, 25 year old Darnell Miller (dob: 11/3/83) of 84 Humason Street, has been arrested and charged with murder in the second degree, for beating his son, and causing his death. Miller was booked late Wednesday, and is held without bail at the Erie County Holding Center.

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama has declared 2009 H1N1 swine flu a national emergency, the White House said on Saturday.
The declaration will make it easier for U.S. medical facilities to handle a surge in flu patients by allowing the waiver of some requirements of Medicare, Medicaid and other federal health insurance programs as needed, the White House said in a statement.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Friday that H1N1 swine flu has become widespread in 46 of the 50 U.S. states, a level comparable to the peak of ordinary flu seasons but far earlier and with more waves of infection expected.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – An attorney for a black woman who claimed torture by a white group in West Virginia says his client fabricated the story to get back at a boyfriend who had beaten her up.
Megan Williams’ attorney, Byron Potts, said at a news conference Wednesday that Williams came forward because she no longer wants to live a lie. Potts encouraged West Virginia authorities to re-evaluate the case.
Williams told authorities in 2007 that she had been beaten, raped, forced to eat animal feces and taunted with racial slurs for days. She now lives in Columbus.
Seven white men and women were convicted in the case, and most are serving long prison terms.
Prosecutors in West Virginia have dismissed Williams’ new claim, and lawyers for the defendants aren’t discussing their plans.

Government scientist arrested on spy charges
WASHINGTON – A Maryland scientist who worked for the Defense Department, a White House space council and other agencies was arrested Monday on charges of attempting to pass along classified information to an undercover FBI agent he believed was an Israeli intelligence officer.

“He brought me flowers and a teddy bear. He almost seemed in awe to be dating me – which I found strange but flattering at first.”

“By the time he stopped I was in terrible pain.” Lynch kept Katie a prisoner for EIGHT HOURS, kicking and battering her. “He was ranting about how he hated me. I was sure he was going to kill me. He kept hitting my back and neck and legs.”
At one point he held a razor to her face in the bathroom. “All I could think was, ‘Please, not my face’,” she says. “He even used my belt to tie a noose from a door hinge and said he was going to hang me.”
She calmed him down and they left the hotel – but he forced her to drive him around London all day before finally setting her free.
Katie didn’t go to the police because she was so terrified of reprisals. But Lynch bombarded her with texts and calls as she stayed holed up in her flat.
“It was mental torture. I was hoping he would get bored and leave me alone,” she says. But Lynch was lurking across the street waiting to flush her out. And he had bullied pal Stefan Sylvestre, 21, into carrying out the acid attack.
Katie’s internet connection went down in the flat and Lynch phoned her insisting she went across the street to an internet cafe to read a message he had left her.

Then he watched as she left the building and Sylvestre – in a hoodie and carrying a cup of sulphuric acid – pounced.
“The pain was almost indescribable,” says Katie. “At first I thought, ‘How rude, that guy has just thrown hot coffee all over me.’ But it was so painful and my clothes started to evaporate.
“In one of Danny’s calls the night before he’d told me he’d got a present for me that would change my life forever. So I knew instantly he was behind it.
“The pain was so bad I didn’t think I was going to live. I knew my face was falling off, I could feel it evaporating. I banged on a restaurant window, my hands burning. They must have thought I was drunk because they locked their doors. I remember hearing this horrible screaming, and I thought ‘I wish that would stop’, and then I realised it was me. Then I remember hearing voices – it must have been doctors and nurses – but I couldn’t see anything, so I thought I was in heaven.”
The acid caused third degree burns to Katie’s face, neck, chest, upper arms, wrists and hands and left her blind in one eye. It also caused severe damage to her respiratory system when she swallowed acid while screaming.
As she battled the agony Katie could only communicate with her parents, David, 60, and Diane, 58, through written notes. Her first said “Am I dead?” and in another she wrote “Kill Me”.
Doctors then began rebuilding Katie’s ravaged features – and her surgeon at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Mohammad Ali Jawad, carried out a world-first op on her.
He removed Katie’s entire face and used a skin substitute, Matriderm, as a foundation for grafts from her lower back and thighs. Then she was kept in a drug-induced coma for 12 days.
She recalls her horror the first time she was allowed to look at herself in a mirror six weeks after the attack.
“At first glance I thought there was something wrong with the mirror,” she says. “I had no eyelids and no hair.

She must wear the mask for two years, 23 hours a day, as it flattens out any lumps and keeps in moisture. Earlier this year, she met Paddington rail crash survivor Pam Warren who also had to wear a facial mask for 18 months during her recovery. Katie says: “She looks amazing now. It gave me hope. It was really inspiring to meet her.”
Last spring, Katie was filmed for three months for a Cutting Edge documentary about her ordeal. She credits the filming and support of her family and her surgeon Mr Jawad for getting her to a point where she is strong enough to come to terms with what happened.
“Although I have been scarred for life I am extremely happy with my new beautiful face,” she says. “I look at old pictures of myself now and see her as a girl I spent loads of time with,” says Katie. “It’s like she was a best friend I’ll never see again.
“But I am happy now. I laugh and smile every day. And thanks to the wonderful people around me I am going to be OK.”(but has she learned anything about the true nature of the savage nigger?)

US justice of peace denies mixed-race couple marriage license
A Louisiana justice of the peace who refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple last week says he’s no racist but has drawn a sharp rebuke from civil rights organizations in the state, The Daily Star of Hammond reports.
The couple say they plan to consult the U.S. Justice Department about filing a discrimination complaint.
Keith Bardwell, justice of the peace in Tangipahoa Parish, defends his actions by saying that it is his experience that most interracial marriages do not last long, The Star says.
“I’m not a racist,” Bardwell says. “I do ceremonies for black couples right here in my house. My main concern is for the children.”
Beth Humphrey, 30, and her boyfriend, Terence McKay, 32, both of Hammond, said they tried to get a marriage license last week but were told the JP will not sign licenses for interracial marriages.
“I simply can’t believe he can do that. That’s blatant discrimination,” Humphrey says, according to the newspaper.
Louisiana ACLU Executive Director Marjorie R. Esman called Bardwell’s move both “tragic and illegal,” the newspaper says.
Pat Morris, local NAACP president, says she was shocked to hear that the choice of a spouse is still an issue in the parish.
Bardwell, who has been a JP for 34 years, says the state attorney general told him years ago that he would eventually get into trouble for not performing interracial marriages, The Star says.
“I told him if I do, I’ll resign,” Bardwell says. “I have rights too. I’m not obligated to do that just because I’m a justice of the peace.”

Police: Nigger “Nurse” Wanted Elderly Patient ‘To Suffer’
PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa.
A licensed practical nurse in Montgomery County, who is trusted to care for the elderly, has been arrested after being accused of causing harm to one of his patients.
Abiodun Oke worked at the Arista Care at Meadow Springs in Plymouth Meeting.
According to court documents, Oke was taking care of an 81-year-old female patient at the facility who suffered from dementia, pneumonia and who has a tracheotomy.
The facility has a visual and audible alarm that goes off when a patient’s ventilator becomes detached.
According to court documents, Oke reattached the 81-year-old patient’s ventilator two times in one day, but when the alarm went off a third time for a minute and a half, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office says Oke did nothing.(who got time fo’ dat sheeit? I tryin to get muh dik on in da lounge wif muh bridge card porn)
Instead a respiratory therapist who also heard the alarm, but was not responsible for the patient, responded.
The respiratory therapist told Plymouth Township police she found Oke in the patient’s room behind the door with his hands folded. She reconnected the patient who was blue and in respiratory distress to the ventilator.
Then she allegedly asked Oke if he saw that the patient was disconnected.
According to court documents, Oke told her: “I connected her twice, now I want to see her suffer.”
The facility fired Oke right after the alleged incident and has cooperated with authorities.(uh oh. Dat might be rayciss)

Oke has been charged with aggravated assault, neglect of a care dependent person and recklessly endangering another person.
He has a preliminary hearing scheduled in Montgomery County Friday morning.

Chapel Hill, NC (AHN) – HIV prevalence among black Americans continues to far exceed rates among whites, despite billions of dollars in government and private spending to combat the disease, according to researchers with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The researchers wrote in a new report appearing in the November issue of the American Journal of Preventive Medicine that black HIV rates are 10 times higher than white Americans.(keep in mind these animals are just 13% of the population)
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 45 percent of new HIV infections in the United States in 2006 occurred among non-Hispanic blacks. Among 13,184 adolescents and young adults in the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health, HIV rates among young black Americans were 20 times higher than those among their white peers.
The researchers say individual-level sexual behavior contributes to the disparity, but they placed more blame in what they term “structural violence” – a social system “characterized by inequalities in power and life chances of sufficient magnitude to restrict a group of people from realizing their full potential” that puts them “in harm’s way,” the researchers said in a statement.(It’s not dey fawlt!!! Mexico Arrests 1 of FBI’s Most-Wanted Fugitives
One of the FBI’s most-sought fugitives, wanted for the 2002 killings of his girlfriend and her two young sons in Idaho, was captured in Mexico.
Federal police detained Jorge Alberto Lopez Orozco on a highway in the Pacific coast state of Guerrero, Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office said Thursday. He was transported to the neighboring state of Michoacan and held on a U.S. extradition request.
