Supreme Court rules in favor of underqualified blacks for Chicago firefighter jobs

In 1995, about 26,000 applicants took a written test to become firefighters. Faced with the large number of applicants for only several hundred jobs, the city decided it would consider only those who scored 89 or above.
This cutoff score excluded a high percentage of the minority applicants. In 2005, U.S. District Judge Joan Gottschall ruled that the test had an illegal “disparate impact” because the city had not justified use of the cutoff score.

Obama Takes Direct Aim at Anti-Government Rhetoric
So our Head Nigger in Charge gave a speech at the University of Michigan Commencement ceremony today. He as usual used it to further his “big government” socialism agenda. He made several statements that are absolutely unbelievable and complete lies.
The most flagrant one was the statement about the financial system collapse being a result of a government which was too small! WHAT? My jaw was literally on the floor when I read this, but I wasn’t surprpised he would say it. What I was surprised at is that some 80,000 people stood there and accepted a bald face lie without so much as blinking.
The financial meltdown dramatically showed the dangers of too little government, he said, “when a lack of accountability on Wall Street nearly led to the collapse of our entire economy.”

“For when our government is spoken of as some menacing, threatening foreign entity, it conveniently ignores the fact in our democracy, government is us.” This government isn’t “us” it’s them. When is the last time our senators didn’t give themselves a pay raise or a president wasn’t a multi-millionaire, or they have done ANYTHING which has made your life or this nation for that matter substantially better?

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama has declared 2009 H1N1 swine flu a national emergency, the White House said on Saturday.
The declaration will make it easier for U.S. medical facilities to handle a surge in flu patients by allowing the waiver of some requirements of Medicare, Medicaid and other federal health insurance programs as needed, the White House said in a statement.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Friday that H1N1 swine flu has become widespread in 46 of the 50 U.S. states, a level comparable to the peak of ordinary flu seasons but far earlier and with more waves of infection expected.
